Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten schnell den Wert einer bevorzugten Listung in Resultaten und recht bald entstanden Organisation, die sich auf die Verfeinerung ausgebildeten. In den Anfängen geschah der Antritt oft bezüglich der Übertragung der URL der jeweiligen Seite bei der verschiedenen Internet Suchmaschinen. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Analyse der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webseite auf den Webserver der Search Engine, wo ein zweites Angebot, der sogenannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu anderen Seiten). Die frühen Varianten der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die dank der Webmaster selbst vorhanden werden konnten, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im WWW wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Gesamteindruck per Gegenstand einer Seite, jedoch registrierte sich bald raus, dass die Anwendung er Vorschläge nicht solide war, da die Wahl der genutzten Schlagworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Darstellung des Seiteninhalts repräsentieren hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Unterseiten bei besonderen Suchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller vielfältige Merkmale in einem Zeitraum des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu lenken, dass die Seite besser in den Serps gelistet wird.[3] Da die neuzeitlichen Search Engines sehr auf Kriterien abhängig waren, die alleinig in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Schindluder und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um gehobenere und relevantere Urteile in Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, mussten sich die Inhaber der Internet Suchmaschinen an diese Umständen angleichen. Weil der Ergebnis einer Search Engine davon abhängig ist, essentielle Suchresultate zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, vermochten ungeeignete Resultate dazu führen, dass sich die User nach diversen Varianten zur Suche im Web umsehen. Die Lösung der Suchmaschinen im WWW lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Rangordnung, die Merkmalen beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin konstruierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Bing – eine Suchmaschine, die auf einem mathematischen Algorithmus basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Webseiten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
