- Mehr zu SEO Mitte der 1990er Jahre fingen die anfänglichen Suchmaschinen im Netz an, das frühe Web zu systematisieren. Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten zügig den Wert einer nahmen Listung in den Suchergebnissen und recht bald entwickelten sich Behörde, die sich auf die Verbesserung ausgerichteten. In den Anfängen geschah der Antritt oft zu der Übermittlung der URL der geeigneten Seite an die divergenten Suchmaschinen im Internet. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Untersuchung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Homepage auf den Webserver der Suchmaschine, wo ein weiteres Softwaresystem, der bekannte Indexer, Angaben herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu weiteren Seiten). Die damaligen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Angaben, die mit den Webmaster eigenständig vorliegen wurden von empirica, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im Internet wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Überblick per Thema einer Seite, dennoch stellte sich bald herab, dass die Anwendung er Vorschläge nicht gewissenhaft war, da die Wahl der gebrauchten Schlüsselworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Abbildung des Seiteninhalts repräsentieren hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Unterseiten bei spezifischen Suchen listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedene Merkmale im Laufe des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite stärker in den Serps gelistet wird.[3] Da die damaligen Suchmaschinen im Internet sehr auf Kriterien abhängig waren, die ausschließlich in den Fingern der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Missbrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um überlegenere und relevantere Urteile in den Serps zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Unternhemer der Suchmaschinen im Internet an diese Voraussetzungen angleichen. Weil der Erfolg einer Suchseiten davon anhängig ist, wesentliche Suchergebnisse zu den gestellten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, vermochten unpassende Testurteile darin resultieren, dass sich die Anwender nach anderweitigen Optionen bei dem Suche im Web umblicken. Die Lösung der Suchmaschinen lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Rangordnung, die Punkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur schwierig steuerbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entwarfen mit „Backrub“ – dem Vorläufer von Yahoo search – eine Anlaufstelle, die auf einem mathematischen Suchsystem basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Internetseiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfluss besitzen ließ. Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
