Speaking in the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I don't plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead until I feel better in regards to the course of our country."

In a blog publish, Kapler questioned whether the country's management is dedicated to representing its individuals's best pursuits and whether the United States is actually "the land of the free and the house of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her youngsters. They blocked dad and mom making an attempt to arrange to cost in to cease the shooter, together with a father who learned his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are more important than our kids's freedom to go to school without having bulletproof backpacks and active shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he referred to as "the lack of supply of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I could have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that when you're dissatisfied together with your country, you let or not it's known through protest. The house of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion towards gun violence in the United States.

Kerr refused to discuss basketball forward of Sport 4 of the Warriors' collection towards the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's shooting.

"In the last 10 days, we've had elderly Black folks killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we have now kids murdered in school," Kerr told reporters at the beginning of the press convention.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I'm so uninterested in getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated households which can be out there ... I'm bored with the moments of silence. Sufficient."
