You have to be able to throw your backhands flat or else accuracy is difficult and most distance is unimaginable. I've worked...

@Scott Stokely, tried this today and I think I may finally be on the right track to keeping the nose level!
Almost a solely forehand player looking to improve my backhand and this was an excellent explanation thank u!
I am a 56 year old disc golfer. Just started playing 6 years ago. Still very athletic. Respect man, 🙏 i saw knowledge overcome raw power. You are on par with Jame's holy shot! Two best shots in History.
Thanks for the great tips in your videos. Also thanks for the awesome chills inducing performance in the Eagle’s Crossing skins match. Watching you on the green of the 18th hole got me choked up. Learning that your skins winnings is going to charity is such a class act and a great way for Disc Golf to be seen. Hopefully the event becomes an annual thing and each year’s winner follows in your footsteps and plays with a charity in mind.
The backhand slap explanation is absolutely hilarious. I have used this exact same approach when teaching new players how to generate power and follow through 😆😆
I think this video singlehandedly made the biggest impact on my game. I can't wait to get back out there and apply this
Beyond words, thank you for this video. A couple big aha moments for me.
another great tutorial, thank you. Finally that Big Money Skins dropped, I've been waiting, what a great shot, really cool to see that catch cam follow that frisbee to a park job.
Thanks Scott. I’ll try this out
As an ultimate player, I was lucky to have "swivel" in my muscle memory when I entered disc golf due to the touchy OI/IO throws possible with the UltraStar. Being able to do it on purpose definitely helped me avoid it, so maybe if someone is struggling they could try practicing air bounces with a catch disc or a putter?
I broke my distance record by 50 feet literally on the second shot and I felt like I was so much more In control. I started getting turn out discs I didnt know could do that. 400 was my previous best and now it's 450 consistently. This actually worked so well. I'll have to work on my timing and footwork a little but then I'll start crushing.
I can't wait to see more result once I loose the extra weight and gain some strength back after not exercising for couple of years.
Thank you sir!
One of the best I've seen. Love your teaching!!!
Firstly, to say an "outstanding performance" at the Big Money Skins match would be an understatement. I hope your win there shows that you are still capable of hanging with the young guns, and gives you relief and comfort knowing that going forward this season! A simply magnificent performance from a true legend.
Second, thank you again for some of the most informative coaching videos out there! Your knowledge and passion for the sport are truly shown in each video. Keep 'em coming, brother!
Thank you sr Scott Stokely I always look forward to the nuggets of wisdom you share! Congrats on the skins match, truly Awsome! I have a few more years under my belt and realize how much more difficult it is to pick up new skills or modify old ones and on more than 1 occasion you were able to make me understand where others have failed. I am graetfull to you for taking the time and putting forth the effort to share the knowledge you have in such abundance. The ability to teach in a manner that people can understand is truly a gift! And you that possess! I just wanted to thank you for all you do! I will be looking forward to your next pearl of wisdom with great anticipation! Utah Rick
So, what you're saying is that pimps are natural disc golfers? 😅
Incredible advice, Scott. Amazing performance in the recent Skins match (I cried also!) and really looking forward to your 6 month program
Woww!! Makes sense
Scott you're the best teacher of the game. Keep it up!
In the name of Saint Scott, Never again, for the rest of my life will I ever line up a shot like this…
Thanks, SS!
Congrats on the big skins win, well deserved!
Weird timing, I just managed to fix this on my own this week! Still need to practice to get it in the muscle memory properly. Already throwing my drives like 30 meters (100 feet) farther than before.
That was very helpful! Thanks. 🙏
And! Sick shoot on GK!!! World Champion Conrad class on that one 😁
Lovw it. 😊 thanks Scott!!!
Dude I just finished watching you win the Skins Big Money Event!! Wow that was awesome congratulations, so happy for you. You still belong sir you crush still. Love your story, sweet that you donate so much to a great cause. Reminds us we should all do more for others. Great stuff
Scott you are awesome man. Thank you so much for this information. You have such a great way of explaining things and you have changed how i look at the mechanics of disc golf and im easily twice the player i was i went from being an over par player to several shots under par player consistently thanks to you.
I have big nose up problems because of how I've thrown an ultimate disc for almost 20 years and this is the first video that makes sense to me. I've been told a lot of the "pouring the water" thing and it hasn't clicked in practice. Even just standing here by my computer following along I can feel that this might finally solve my biggest problem. Excited to try it out on the field tomorrow and see how it goes!
