Household of Kidnapped Lady Claims Inaction of Dallas Police & Mavs in Sex Trafficking Case

DALLAS - A 15-year-old woman from North Richland Hills is now residence after being abducted by a person at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks sport at American Airways Middle. But the household still seeks solutions, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not performing swiftly sufficient relating to the crime, which had the woman as part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone lacking a complete of 11 days,” lawyer Zeke Fortenberry stated. “Our intent is that approach (the aforementioned organizations) are on discover that we’re pursuing claims against them for their negligence and different causes of action.''

Fortenberry stated the teenager’s father knowledgeable police on the sport when he realized she was missing. However, in response to the lawyer, the daddy was told to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police said they weren’t able to help because the incident occurred in Dallas.

The legal professional stated it was the Houston-based human trafficking agency Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that worked to find the lacking girl, who was being held in an Oklahoma Metropolis motel.

Dallas Police told WFAA that they followed protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD in the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the woman was discovered, the staff releasing the next statement: “The American Airlines Middle (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been discovered.Each entities will continue to cooperate with native and regional legislation enforcement on this case.''
