A fifth grade scholar in Florida was arrested over the weekend and charged with sending a text message threatening to hold out a mass capturing, authorities mentioned.
In a press release Saturday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office mentioned it had realized earlier that day of a "threatening textual content message" sent by a student at an elementary college.
It said its native college risk enforcement crew was immediately notified and began investigating. The 10-year-old boy was interviewed and charged later with "making a written menace to conduct a mass shooting," the sheriff's workplace stated.
In video shared by authorities, the boy can be seen being led into a police vehicle.
“This student’s behavior is sickening, especially after the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texas,” Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno stated in a statement, noting that the risk came just days after the lethal college capturing at Robb Elementary College left 19 college students and two lecturers useless.
“Proper now is just not the time to behave like slightly delinquent. It’s not humorous,” he said. “This baby made a fake menace, and now he’s experiencing actual consequences.”
