BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "school shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of expenses.

An elevated amount of law enforcement officials had been positioned at colleges within the communities on account of the indicators. A number of schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs across the communities, the Division of Safety said, however they determined there isn't a credible risk presently.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The security division launched a photograph of the plate however blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of legal threatening and three misdemeanor fees together with false report to law enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged right now.
