Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - A number of businesses responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area together with several other agencies in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was discovered close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
