Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of businesses responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area together with several other businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was discovered near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
