Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several businesses responded to a center school in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with several different companies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found close to the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
