Russian spy aircraft violates Swedish air area

A Russian reconnaissance aircraft briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish protection officers said on Saturday, because the Scandinavian nation ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller aircraft violated Swedish airspace on Friday night,” the Swedish protection ministry mentioned in an announcement, including that its groups had followed the incident and photographed it.
The ministry mentioned the aircraft was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island in the Baltic, before it headed toward Swedish territory.
“It's completely unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public tv SVT quoted Protection Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This motion is unprofessional and given the final security scenario very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty must always be respected.”
