BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "school shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple prices.

An elevated quantity of police officers had been positioned at colleges in the communities because of the indicators. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the signs around the communities, the Division of Safety said, but they decided there isn't a credible menace right now.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The security department released a photo of the plate but blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor prices together with false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged at this time.
