BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "college shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of fees.

An increased quantity of cops had been placed at colleges in the communities because of the signs. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the signs across the communities, the Department of Safety mentioned, but they determined there isn't any credible risk at this time.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety division released a photograph of the plate however blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor prices including false report to law enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged right now.
