EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol limit after no less than five people known as 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Most important Road exit. They are saying the crash prompted a flat tire and the automotive to smoke, but the driver stored going.
Other callers say the driver was all over the highway and now missing a front tire.
They are saying he eventually stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “super drunk.”
Employees told police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to sell his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell a number of instances. Officers say he tested .291 on a portable breath take a look at.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is dealing with several costs.
He is the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
