Because the Covid scenario has improved, a number of corporations have already referred to as their workers to workplace, ending the make money working from home (WFH).

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr workers have resigned from the kids on-line coding learning edtech start-up within the final two months after being requested to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its employees to return to office within a month’s time, according to an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company introduced the policy to end work at home and requested distant workers to return to office by April 18.

The resignations got here from full-time staff of the gross sales, coding, and math teams. Extra workers are expected to place down their papers in the coming months.

One of many staff who resigned instructed the website that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have children, some have aged and sick parents, whereas others have other responsibilities. It is not proper to name again employees in such a brief time period,” the previous WhiteHat Jr employee mentioned.

One other employee mentioned salaries also factored within the resolution to not return to the workplace. At the time of hiring, employees had been advised about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has workplaces in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. However, after working from home for two years, workers believed that their salaries should be revised to reflect the cost of dwelling in expensive cities.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former worker remarked.
