800 staff resign after firm asks them to work from office

Because the Covid state of affairs has improved, a number of companies have already referred to as their workers to office, ending the earn a living from home (WFH).

However, it seems some employees want to work from home additional. Lately, a whole lot of workers have resigned when a company requested them to return to the office.

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr employees have resigned from the kids online coding studying edtech start-up in the last two months after being asked to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its staff to return to workplace inside a month’s time, in keeping with an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the corporate introduced the policy to end work from home and requested remote employees to return to workplace by April 18.

The resignations came from full-time employees of the gross sales, coding, and math groups. Extra workers are anticipated to put down their papers in the coming months.

One of the staff who resigned instructed the web site that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have kids, some have aged and sick dad and mom, whereas others have other tasks. It isn't right to name again employees in such a short time period,” the previous WhiteHat Jr employee mentioned.

Another worker said salaries also factored within the resolution to not return to the workplace. On the time of hiring, staff have been told about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has offices in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. However, after working from residence for two years, staff believed that their salaries must be revised to mirror the price of dwelling in costly cities.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former employee remarked.
